I’ve been reading some Peter Maurin recently, and studying Philippians 1 this morning decided to write in his style.

 
Is my love overflowing
more and more
with knowledge
and full insight?

Knowledge
and full insight,
not to win
not to be right
but to purify love
and reset values.
To tell what really matters.

To purify.
To make a harvest of righteousness.

What of a love parched for
knowledge
and full insight?
Might that too create
mis-valuation
Prioritizing that which does not matter.

Dirty love is no love at all.
Dirty love is misguided.
Dirty love pretends to be love
but instead is only for one's self
Devoid of knowledge
and full insight
Seeking purification

Purify our dirty love
Overflow our love with knowledge
and full insight
Reset our values.
